Police are investigating the death of Murray’s Village resident, Jerry Williams, who was shot execution-style while he walked home Sunday night, bringing to five the number of shootings in the country over the past week, three of which were fatal

Reports reaching I-Witness News indicate that unknown assailants shot Williams, approximately 36 years old, who is originally from Redemption Sharpes, in the back of the head around 7 p.m.

He died on the spot, near the public bath in the East Kingstown community.

Residents say that Williams’ vehicle had been set on fire sometime ago.

On Thursday, Rockies resident   Dexter Rodney was injured when an unknown assailant shot him multiple times in the chest and abdomen around noon at Plant Shop, a hangout spot in Lower Bay Street, Kingstown.

Thursday’s shooting was the third in last week.

New Montrose shopkeeper, Dennis Quinton, died in hospital Wednesday night, one day after unknown assailants shot him in his village.

Tuesday night, 42-year-old preacher, Kensley Bascombe, was shot and injured by unknown assailants as he made his way to a shop in Collins, where he lives.

On Saturday, Rawlson Williams of Questelles, originally of Byera, was found dead in bushes in Belvedere shortly after he exchanged gunfire with police.

Police and patrons at Huffles Ranch, an entertainment venue in Brighton, say that Williams had shot at a patron in the parking lot of Huffles Ranch around 5:30 a.m.

The Brighton man who Williams is said to have shot at escaped unharmed.
