In matches played last weekend in the St. Vincent and the Grenadines Police Co-operative Credit Union Clinchers T20 Softball tournament, Calder United, Fullyloaded Ballerz, Smashers, Owia Young Strikers and Country Meet Town Out ah Trouble all topped their opponents as another exciting bevy of matches were completed at the Richland Park Oval.
On Saturday, Calder United defeated Gomea Bombers by five wickets.
SCORES: Gomea Bombers 81 in 12 overs Kendal Payne 25, Kenron Fraser 5/20, William Nanton 2/10, Calder United 83/5 (15.4 overs) Kevin Henry 26, Ovando O’Brien 2/9.
And Fullyloaded Ballerz beat Snipers Reload by 57 runs.
SCORES: Fullyloaded Ballerz 117 (19.4 overs) Roneke James 35, Saqlin Williams 4/13, Snipers Reload 60 (13.4 overs) Ortis Hector 5/15, Roneke James 3/11.
On Sunday, Dr. Thomas Injectors went down to Smashers by eight wickets.

Owia Young Strikers edged out Nice Radio Clinchers by 1 run in a very exciting match.

In the weekend’s final match Country Meet Town Out ah Trouble got the better of Street Fighters by 32 runs in a high energy match.
SCORES: Country Meet Town Out ah Trouble 134/8 (20 overs) Richie Richards 46, Sacki Weekes 32, Ricardo Thomas 3/23, Jalbie Butler 3/36 including the season’s first hat-trick, Street Fighters 102/8 (20 OVERS) Ozzni Billingy 61 (7×6, 3×4), Westwick Straugh 3/11, Rodney Lawrence 2/19.
Player of the Weekend- Rondel Munroe who took 4/13 in four overs, to help Owia Young Strikes beat Nice Radio Clinchers by one run.
The tournament continues this weekend.
On Saturday, from 12:30 p.m. – Rate Yo Boyz Challengers will meet Budgmart Simple Touch and this will be followed at 3 p.m. by Finishing & Furnishing KLT Strikers taking on Rogers Photo Studio Fya 1.
On Sunday, 9:30 a.m., C.G.M Gallagher Novice takes on Smart Strikers and Gairy Construction Simple Boyz will meet Gomea Bombers from 12.30 p.m.
The final match will see RSVG Police taking on Sea Operations Nar Fren Dem from 3 p.m.
All matches are at the Richland Park Oval and teams are asked to be at the venue at least 15 minutes before the commencement of their match.
Teams are asked to note, as per the playing conditions, new balls must be used at the start of each innings.
