The U.S. Embassy in Barbados is coordinating with the commercial carrier Seaborne Airlines/Silver Airways to facilitate a flight from St Vincent to San Juan (SJU), Puerto Rico (U.S.A.) on Tuesday — April 21.

The purpose of the flight is to repatriate U.S. citizens.  

“We urge U.S. citizens (and U.S. Legal Permanent Residents) wishing to travel to the U.S. to immediately contact this airline directly in order to book a seat on this flight,” the embassy said.

Reservations can be done by emailing [email protected] or by calling +1(801) 401-9103.  

“Please note that the flight will not be available for purchase on their website,” the embassy said.

It added:

“U.S. citizens who choose not to take this flight should be prepared to remain in Saint Vincent until restrictions on passenger movements are lifted and other commercial airline service options to the U.S. become available.

“Also, please note that onward travel options from San Juan to mainland U.S. is the responsibility of the passenger and should be made as soon as possible with available commercial airlines operating out of San Juan.”

The release said that the embassy should not be contacted to   make a flight reservation but that persons should continue to monitor the  U.S. Embassy website for updated information.

  1. So they should take a flight to San Juan which is.locked down. Then try to.find their way out of there. My boss has been stuck in San Juan for over a month and can’t get out. At least she speaks the languave and has family there. Others may not be that fortunate. Whose bright idea was that?
