Visits to inmates at Her Majesty’s Prisons at Kingstown and Belle Isle will resume on April 1, prison authorities have announced.
Visits were suspended amidst the spike in COVID-19 cases in St. Vincent and the Grenadines, which has since subsided.
Prison authorities, however, said there will be a maximum of ten visits per day and each inmate would be allowed two visits per month.
Each visit would be for a duration of 10 minutes and only two persons may visit an inmate at a time.
Visits will continue to be facilitated by appointments only and proper identification must be presented before visit is allowed.
“The standard COVID-19 protocols are to be adhered to,” a press release stated.
