A Fitz Hughes man has become the 23rd homicide victim in St. Vincent and the Grenadines this year.
Police said, on Monday, that they are investigating the death of Roland Baptiste, 35, a fisherman of the North Leeward community.
Baptiste, who also goes by the alias “Red Rat” died last Friday, July 1, after an unknown assailant(s) shot him about his body with a shotgun on June 27 in Fitz Hughes.
Baptiste succumbed to his injuries at the Milton Cato Memorial Hospital and a post-mortem examination will be conducted on his body.

“All information received would be treated confidentially,” police said.
