Redemption Sharpes resident, Kimron Neverson, 26, has been found guilty of murder in connection with the March 15, 2020 shooting death of fellow villager, Edward “Eddie” Alexis who was killed on his birthday in the Central Kingstown Community.

A 12-member jury deliberated for about three hours before returning a unanimous guilty verdict at High Court No. 2, in Kingstown, on Friday.

After the verdict, Neverson’s lawyer, Patina Knights, asked the court to order the preparation of a social inquiry report.

Justice Rickie Burnett ordered that the report be submitted to the court by July 3 and set sentencing for July 7.

Rose-Ann Richardson represented the Crown at the trial.

Alexis, 28, a farmer, was shot in the head with a gun at Trigger Ridge, Redemption Sharpes.

He was on his way home from his birthday celebration when he was killed. 

Detective Corporal 563 Primus of the Major Crimes Unit was the lead investigator.
