The Believer’s Loveworld SVG held their back-to-school campaign earlier this month at the Peace Memorial Hall.

Over 100 students from primary, secondary and tertiary levels received free back-to-school supplies such as backpacks, books, pencils, and school uniforms.

Among the activities was an educative panel discussion that saw three ministers from the ministry discussing issues affecting children, the role of parents and the role of the church.

Representative of the Ministry of Education and National Reconciliation, Degra Michael urged other churches to follow the example of the Believers Loveworld.

She extended her gratitude to the ministry for taking up such an initiative, saying children are very important for the present and future development of the country.

Founder of the event and pastor of the ministry, Isuamfon Williams reminded the audience that children are a heritage of the Lord.

He urged parents to make it their first response to always contact the giver of the children when anything goes wrong.  Parents were taught that they can speak health and other great things over the lives of their children as this is the will of God for their lives.

He also encouraged parents to scold their children when necessary, saying this would definitely aid in the upbringing of disciplined children in the society.

Williams further urged both the parents and children who are not yet Christians to accept Christ, saying this would be the best decision they can make with their lives.

The campaign ended with words of gratitude being sent out to some local businesses and individuals who sponsored the event  .

The back-to-school event was the second of its kind since the ministry began in SVG in 2017.
