Police have launched an investigation into the discovery of the partially decomposed body of a 73-year-old man on Thomas Island, an island just outside of Clifton Harbour, Union Island.
Police said on Thursday that the body was discovered by a sea captain about 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
The deceased was later identified as Russell Douglas, of Union Island.
The body was transported to the Kingstown Mortuary and post mortem examination will be conducted on the body to ascertain the cause of death.
