A Dominican national was today (Thursday) remanded in custody on wounding and trespassing charges.
“Does he have a mental issue?” Magistrate Bertie Pompey asked after the accused, Marlon Telemaque, was read the charges.
“Not that we are aware of,” the prosecutor, Corporal 817 Stapleton responded.
Telemaque appeared at the Colonarie Magistrate’s Court on charges that on Nov. 25 and Nov. 28, at New Chapmans, he entered upon the property of Marcus Forbes of New Chapmans as a trespasser to commit an offence to wit annoy.
He was also charged that on Oct. 26, at Langley Park, he unlawfully and maliciously wounded Agustus Humphrey, of Langley Park.
Stapleton objected to Telemaque’s bail telling the court that the defendant is a national of Dominica and had no fixed place of abode.
The magistrate granted the application, remanding Telemaque until Dec. 14.
