A fisherman from the Central Leeward town of Barrouallie is believed to have drowned during a fishing expedition in Cumberland on Wednesday.
iWitness News understands that the deceased was a member of a seine crew that was fishing in the North Leeward community.
Sometime during the expedition, the team realised that the fisherman was missing and his body was later retrieved from the sea.
Police have been notified and are said to be investigating.
