The 22-year-old Rose Hall man who has been in police custody since the Feb. 10 death of a 1-year-old girl in the North Leeward community has been charged with kidnapping and murder.
Jeremiah Samuel appeared before the Kingstown Magistrate’s Court today (Monday), where Senior Magistrate Colin John read the indictable charges to him.

He was not required to plead at that stage to the charges.
The magistrate remanded him in custody until June 25, when the Serious Offences Court would begin a preliminary inquiry into the case.
