A brother and sister have contributed to the victory of the Fancy Police Youth Club (PYC) Netball Team in the PYCs Interclub Netball championship.
Zaheim Michael and Keandra Stay received the trophies for Best Male Player of the Zone and Best Defence of the Finals, respectively.
Afia Stay, also of the Fancy PYC, received the trophy for the MVP of the finals.
The siblings attributed their team’s success to teamwork and having a great coach, Janel Hector, who “works hard with the team”.
Hector is also the coach of the Fancy Government School’s netball team, which won the 2023 and 2024 National Primary School Netball Champions.

Fancy PYC defeated Owia PYC, 30-11 goals, at Nutricia Netball Court in New Montrose on Sunday.
Chateaubelair PYC placed third, defeating Stubbs/Diamonds PYC, 39 goals to 5 in a match played after the championship.
Sixteen teams participated in the competition, which was divided into four zones — Eastern, Southeastern, Central and North Leeward.
During the closing and prize-giving ceremony, remarks were delivered by the President of the SVG Netball Association, Natasha Baptiste, Facilities Manager at the National Sports Council, Marvin Fraser and President of the SVG Police Co-operative Credit Union, Brenton Smith.
