On Sept. 7, 2024, I went on my third hike of La Soufriere since it erupted in April 2021.
And, without much planning, three of us ended up in the inner crater of the smoking volcano…

Well done! After having watched your video, I needed a nap even though I am writing this before sunrise and after a sound night’s sleep. I find the loose, unstable terrain underfoot particularly concerning; it must be a hiker’s nightmare…for obvious reasons. Thank you for your work and for the virtual experience. I hope the old girl will attract many visitors unto herself; she is worth it.
That volcano is a dangerous place it is bigger than st.vincent ! ( yes i know its in st.vincent ) but its really big and deep much more so that the last time i was there ,if that thing ever erupts in earnest st vincent will be no more and st.lucia and barbados must run, seriously , i never went inside but then again i dont think anyone should go there ,thanks very much Kenton for the updated experience also hope your wife beat you up for taking such risk ,we enjoyed the video with a glass ,thanks again very much , take your blows
