Police have charged a 24-year-old bus conductor with grievous bodily harm for allegedly rupturing a woman’s eardrum.
Onez John, of Belair, is alleged to have struck a 31-year-old janitor, of Mckies Hill, to her right ear with his hand, causing the injury at Mckies Hill on Nov. 15
John appeared before the Kingstown Magistrate Court on Dec. 6 and pleaded not guilty.
He was granted EC$2,500 bail with one surety. The court also ordered him to report to the Calliaqua Police Station on Thursdays.
Stop notices were placed at all ports of exit and entry and his trial was adjourned to March 2, 2025.
