St. Vincent Brewery Ltd. (SVBL has announced the launch of the Vita Malt Youth Athletic Achievement Award, a programme aimed at celebrating and supporting the nation’s young athletes.

“This initiative marks an exciting step forward in SVBL’s commitment to fostering excellence in sports and uplifting the Vincentian community,” SVBL said in a press statement.

The Vita Malt Youth Athletic Achievement Award will recognise five exceptional student-athletes from randomly selected schools, providing them with vital support to acquire essential sports gear.

The release said schools are encouraged to submit the name of their top student-athlete following their sports events, and award recipients will be honoured during special school assemblies, where SVBL will present the awards in person.

Kimon Baptiste PR and media analyst at the brewery said that over the years, St. Vincent Brewery Ltd. has proudly supported school sports under the Vita Malt brand, contributing significantly to the development of young athletes.

“This year, in addition to our product sponsorship to schools across the nation, we wanted to take this commitment a step further by assisting individual students,” Baptiste said.

She said the company has noticed that some young athletes face challenges in accessing the proper equipment needed to perform at their best.

“Through the Vita Malt Youth Athletic Achievement Award, our goal is to encourage these students and ensure they have the resources to pursue their athletic dreams,” Baptiste said.
