DJ Rohan “DJ Kano” Cornwall was on Wednesday discharged in the case in which he is accused of attempting to murder his wife.

Cornwall’s wife, Gailann Walters-Cornwall, told the court, on oath, that she had no further interest in the matter.

Cornwall was accused of attempting to murder Walters-Cornwall on March 20, 2025, at Green Hill, when he allegedly inflicted several sharp-point injuries on her.

However, when the matter was called for a preliminary inquiry at the Serious Offences Court on Wednesday, the court heard that Walters-Cornwall had given the police a further statement, saying that she had no further interest in the matter.

Walters-Cornwall then took the stand under oath and informed the court that she knows Cornwall as he is her husband and she wished not to offer any further evidence in the case.

She also told the court that she had made the decision of her own free will.

As a result, Cornwall was discharged, meaning that the prosecution could reinstate the charge if the circumstances

change.

The prosecutor, Inspector of Police Renrick Cato, could have withdrawn the charge, meaning that the prosecution could reinstate it at any time, whether or not there is a change in the circumstances.

Cornwall had been on EC$15,000 bail while awaiting the disposal of the case.
