Police corporals Delando Charles and Alison Stapleton, summary prosecutors assigned to the office of the Director of Public Prosecutions, have completed the court prosecutors’ course, regional training programme.
The five-week training took place at the Regional Police Training Centre (RPTC) in Barbados and was coordinated by Deputy Commandant Lawrence Collymore.
Charles received the award for best at prosecution among 26 prosecutors from Barbados, St. Vincent and the Grenadines, Grenada, British Virgin Islands, St. Kitts and Nevis, Turks and Caicos Islands, St. Lucia and Montserrat.
He also presented a student’s report at the closing ceremony on Friday, which also saw 15 police officers from the Barbados Police Force graduating from an enhanced constables development course.
Charles said it was a pleasure to represent St. Vincent and the Grenadines, adding, “Love your job or it would consume you!”

Stapleton described the course as “impactful and good”.
