The adolescent male who encountered difficulties in the sea off San Souci Sunday afternoon was resuscitated and taken to the hospital.
Initial reports reaching iWitness News had indicated that the boy had drowned.
However, a subsequent report indicated that a man had resuscitated the child, who was then transported to the Milton Cato Memorial Hospital for medical attention.
iWitness News understands that the boy fell from the rock and was pulled out to sea by the waves before being rescued.
