Former MP for South Central Windward, Webston Selmon Walters will be buried in an official funeral on Saturday.
Walter died on Oct. 13 in the United States, aged 65.
Walter also served as a diplomat, teacher, farmer, minister of the gospel, and insurance broker.
At the time of his death, he was general manager of the Arrowroot Industry Association in St. Vincent and the Grenadines.
Walters was MP for South Central Windward from 2001 to 2010.
The official viewing of his body takes place today (Friday) at the temporary Parliament Building at Glen.
Officials and dignitaries will be invited to the viewing from 9 a.m. to 10 a.m. Viewing for the public will be from 10 a.m. to noon.
The funeral service is scheduled to take place on Saturday at the New Life Ministries Church, in New Grounds, at 1 p.m.
The service will be preceded by the viewing and tributes from noon to 1 p.m.
He will be buried at the Sans Souci Cemetery.
Walters is the third MP who served under the Unity Labour administration to have died since the party was elected to office in 2001.
His death follows that of Conrad Sayers, MP for Central Kingstown from 2001 to 2010, who died on Dec. 30, 2023, and Sir Vincent Beache, MP for South Windward from 1994 to 2005, who died in August 2019. Beache was also MP for North Central Windward from 1974 to 1984.
