Throughout this election campaign, attempts were made by the ULP and its supporters to suggest that the NDP has no plans. They’ve even suggested that the leadership of the NDP is lazy.
A video posted on the Facebook page of “Ralph Gonsalves”, showed the hand of someone placing a booklet entitled “The New Democratic Party’s Plan for St. Vincent and the Grenadines”, on a table. Sitting at the table were the ULP leader, surrounded by other members of the party. The booklet was placed on the table next to other notes and papers for the leader at the head table.
The patina of the book suggests that it is being used. It had the appearance of a student’s textbook, and one cannot mistake the large key on the cover for anything else.

If it is indeed true that the NDP has no plans, why is there such a booklet in ULP circles? Who took it for a study and was returning it? In other words, who was returning it?
Moreover, this cannot be representative of a leadership that is lazy, if there is a booklet that is being studied by the ULP. It must have taken time and effort to produce such a booklet to the point where the ULP has taken an interest in it.
What’s also funny is that the ULP has widely been accused of copying the plans of the NDP. Is this proof that plans of the NDP are being studied and copied by the ULP?
Why is the ULP studying the NDP plans? What could be in this booklet if the NDP truly has no plans?
