One man was killed and six others seriously injured when a truck encountered mechanical problems and crashed into a parked crane in Lowmans Bay around 8:30 a.m. Monday.
Police have identified the dead man as Stephen Bulze, 58, of Barroaullie.
“Preliminary reports indicate that a motor vehicle owned by a private electrical company was travelling towards Lowmans Bay, experienced mechanical issues and crashed into a parked crane,” police said in a statement.
“Additionally, six male workers between the ages of 21 and 54 years old were seriously injured as a result and taken to the Milton Cato Memorial Hospital.”
Police said that an autopsy will be conducted on Bulze’s body and that their investigation continues.
