The Ministry of Health said on Tuesday that assessment and clean-up efforts are ongoing at health facilities across St. Vincent and the Grenadines after overnight heavy rainfall and flooding.
“Our healthcare teams are on site, working to restore affected services as quickly as possible. Non-essential services may be disrupted. Please call ahead before travelling to confirm that the service you need is available,” the ministry said in a press statement.
“If you are unable to access a health facility within your district, please seek care at the nearest accessible health facility,” the statement said.
In emergency cases, the public is asked to call 456-1955 or visit the Emergency Department at Milton Cato Memorial Hospital.
“We will continue to update the public on facility access and service availability as information becomes available,” the ministry said.
