Rubis has donated a brand-new refrigerator to Lowmans Leeward Anglican Primary School to assist with the safe storage of food and refreshments for its students and staff.
The donation,on Friday followed a request from the school for assistance in acquiring a refrigerator.
What particularly moved Rubis Country Representative, Elroy Edwards, was the school’s willingness to accept either a new or used refrigerator, highlighting the importance of this need to the school’s daily operations, a press release said.
Recognising the opportunity to make a meaningful difference, Rubis was pleased to provide a brand-new refrigerator to the school.
“When I learned that the school was willing to accept even a used refrigerator, I was moved by the extent of the need. It made me appreciate how important this appliance was to the school’s daily operations,” Edward said.
“We were happy that Rubis was in a position to provide a new refrigerator and make a positive difference in the lives of the students and staff.”
The school, represented by Nicole Parris, expressed gratitude for the donation, noting that the provision of a brand-new refrigerator exceeded its expectations.
“At Rubis, community involvement goes beyond doing business. It means recognising the needs of the communities in which we operate and finding practical ways to support them. Rubis is pleased to have been able to respond to the school’s request and contribute to the well-being of the school community,” the press release said.
