Vincentians will hear today their Government’s plan for the economic and social development of the country for the next 12 years.

The details will be presented as Prime Minister Dr Ralph Gonsalves presents the feature address at the official launch of the National Economic and Social Development Plan at the Methodist Church Hall at 10 a.m.

The Agency for Public Information says that the Plan covers the period 2013-2025.

It outlines the country’s long and medium-term strategies for national development and offers a vision for improving the quality of life for all Vincentians.

The plan is anchored on the achievement of eight main goals, including high and sustained levels of economic growth, reduced unemployment and poverty levels, improved physical infrastructure and environmental sustainability, high levels of human and social development, and a peaceful, safe and secure nation.
