The local Police Force is this week bringing the curtains down on two of its youth summer programme.
The Police Band Summer Programme will officially end on Saturday at 2 p.m. with a ceremony at the Old Montrose Police Station.

The Pan Against Crime Summer Programme, conducted by South East Steel Orchestra, has been in existence since 2007. It was designed to teach students to play the pan, recruit players for South East Steel Orchestra and provide a positive past time for children during the summer vacation.
Students at the Police Band Summer Programme were taught how to play several musical instruments including the recorder, trumpet, saxophone, clarinet, trombone, baritone, guitar, keyboard, drums and pans.
The Police Band’s Summer Programme run from July 21-August 22.
