Sports journalist E. Glenford Prescott chatted with Barbadian sports psychologist Dawn-Marie Layne during a visit to St. Vincent and the Grenadines (SVG) last weekend.
Layne is a former senior national cricketer for her country and represented the West Indies Women’s A Team.
She was invited to SVG by the local Cricket Association to conduct sessions on Jan. 2 and 3 2015 with the national U15 and U 19 teams and the senior female cricketers.
In this interview, Layne, 26, speaks about her role as a sports psychologist, the importance of sports psychology in the life of an athlete, her plans for the future and her intention to return to the playing field.
