Police said Thursday that they are investigating the death of an elderly man whose body was found floating at sea in Clare Valley, on St. Vincent’s southwestern coast.
They have identified the man as 74-year-old Arnos Vale resident, Royford Peter May, originally from Greiggs.
“May’s body was seen floating at sea in the waters off Clare Valley on Thursday, January 15th, 2015, between the hours of 10 a.m. and 11 a.m.
“The Royal St. Vincent and the Grenadines Police Force Coast Guard responded immediately and the body of the deceased was retrieved from the waters. A post mortem will be carried [out] soon,” police said in a brief statement.
