The police are investigating the circumstances surrounding the death of St. Clair Billy of Chili Village, Georgetown, whose body was discovered submerged in the river at North River Road, Kingstown.
Billy, believed to be in his 50s, was discovered approximately 9 a.m. on Wednesday by sanitation workers.
Preliminary investigation did not identify any visible sign of injury.
A post mortem will be conducted today.
