A man on remand at Her Majesty’s Prison saw his legal woes increase on Monday when he was charged with wounding another prisoner.
Jelani John, of Belmont, who initially charged with assault causing actual bodily harm, is now also accused of slamming another prisoner to the ground.
He appeared before Chief magistrate, Rechanne Browne-Matthias at the Serious Offences Court on Monday.
iWitness News understands that the virtual complainant received an injury to the back.
John is slated to return to court on June 12 for trial.
