A Redemption Sharpes man appeared in court on Monday on two criminal charges after he reportedly pointed an unlicensed gun at his mother on Saturday.
Brian Samuel is charged with having in his possession one .25 calibre handgun without a licence and criminal assault.
He was arrested at his home on Saturday after police response to a report from him mother that he had pointed a gun at her at her house.
Prosecutor Station Sergeant of Police Elgin Richards objected to bail.
He told Senior Magistrate Rechanne Browne-Matthias that Samuel’s mother was fearful of him.
The accused man was remanded in prison until March 24, for the next hearing in the matter.
