A Vincentian man is among four persons who were on Monday slapped with drug-related charges in Antigua.
The Vincentian, 40-year-old Sydney Norville, has been jointly charged along with 33-year-old Camara Swift of Antigua with possession of cannabis, being concerned in the supply of cannabis, drug trafficking and possession with intent to supply cannabis.
The charges, laid by the Office of National Drug and Money Laundering Control Policy, relate to a drug bust in which 103.25 pounds of marijuana was allegedly nabbed in the Montrulla area of All Saints.
As a consequence of that same police operation, Michael Scarlett, a Jamaican national, faces charges of possession of cannabis, being concerned in the supply of cannabis, drug trafficking and possession with intent to supply cannabis and cultivation of cannabis, after being caught with 34.8 pounds of compressed cannabis and a small quantity of marijuana seedlings at his Mock Pond residence, All Saints.
Shawn Craig Duberry of Antigua also faces charges of possession of cannabis, being concerned in the supply of cannabis, drug trafficking and possession with intent to supply cannabis after allegedly being caught with a total of 157.8lbs of marijuana at his Sea View Farm residence.
Two other persons who were questioned were subsequently released.
