Petroleum products supplier, Sol, will conduct two one-day training seminars on LPG safety and handling on Nov. 8 and 9 at Paradise Beach Hotel.
The main objective of the seminar is to sensitise liquid petroleum gas (LPG) resellers on the proper use, handling, storage and transportation of LPG cylinders in order to improve safety in all aspects of LPG.
Topics to be covered include, among others, properties and hazards of LPG, proper transportation of cylinders, storage guidelines, detecting leaks, and procedures in the event of a leak or fire.
Julian Jackson, engineering manager, Sol Caribbean Ltd., will be the facilitator.
Sol in strongly encouraging LPG resellers to take advantage of this training opportunity as there is a need to enhance LPG standards in all aspects of the industry.
