Police are investigating the circumstances surrounding the death of Nightra Patterson, a 75-year-old retiree of Campden Park, which occurred about 7 a.m. on Wednesday at Questelles Beach.
Preliminary investigations have revealed that Patterson, who is a British citizen. visited the Questelles Beach about 6:40 a.m. with a relative to swim, police say.
“While swimming, the deceased apparently developed some difficulty and her body was later discovered floating in the water,” police said in a press statement on Thursday.
The District Medical Officer was summoned to the scene and he pronounced her dead.
A post mortem examination is expected to be conducted.
Did the relative report this? It seems as though she was just found and nobody was looking for her.
