The Division of Arts, Sciences and General Studies Team One pulled off a big upset while the Division of Technical and Vocational Combined rolled on unbeaten, when the 2020 Quickcash Corp SVG Community College Invitational volleyball competition continued on Friday.

The Division of Arts, Sciences and General Studies Team One gave their Villa counterparts and defending champions, the Division of Arts, Sciences and General Studies Team Two, a rude awakening in Friday’s opening game, when they handed them a straight sets defeat, 25-15, 25-16, 25-22.

It was not that easy, however, for the Division of Technical and Vocational Combined, as they had to put out all the stops in four sets, to over come the Medical Schools Combined, and keep their unbeaten record intact.

The Division of Technical and Vocational Combined took the opening two sets 25-21, 25-22, before the  Medical Schools Combined grabbed set three 25-17, after which the Division of Technical and Vocational Combined held on to win the game with a 25-21 fourth set triumph.

Round one will be completed next Wednesday.
