St. Vincent and the Grenadines now has 168 active cases of COVID-19, the lowest figure in almost three months, since a local spike in December.

The figure fell dramatically, on Tuesday, when health authorities recorded 375 recoveries.

For yet another day over the past two weeks, the country also recorded no new cases from 85 samples received and processed on Monday.

The total number of recoveries now stands at 1,504, the National Emergency Management Organisation (NEMO) said in a release.

SVG has recorded 1,681 cases of COVID-19 since March 2020.

Nine persons with COVID-19 have died.

“The public is urged to use a mask, sanitize, physically distance and get vaccinated to reduce the spread of COVID-19 in St. Vincent and the Grenadines,” NEMO said.

The walk-in vaccination site at the Victoria Park will be open from 9 a.m. daily until Saturday.
