Eight students from the St. Vincent and the Grenadines Community College are the latest beneficiaries of bursaries awarded by the Eastern Caribbean Group of Companies (ECGC) Foundation Inc.

The financial donation, totalling $8,000, will go towards assisting students with costs associated with their studies, including fees, transportation, books, etc.

Dixton Findlay, director of ECGC Foundation, urged awardees to capitalise on opportunities presented to them as they work towards success and reminded them that not only their ability will determine their success in life, but also their attitudes.

Nigel Scott, director of SVGCC, also encouraged the students to keep in mind the institution’s motto — “nothing limits excellence”.

This year’s awardees are Zoe Hayne, Turtara Saxon, Kyla Thomas, Stanislaus Gomes, Devere James, Kyle Alfonso, Zizzy Roberts and Keriann John.
