The Shevern John North Windward Cricket Tournament and District Stairs Female Competition moved into its second week after the Christmas holidays with matches played over the weekend.
At the Fancy Playing field on Saturday:
In the District Stairs Female Competition, London Combined defeated Fancy Beamers by 64 runs. London Combined batted first, amassing 123 runs for 3 wickets off 10 overs.
Fancy Beamers responded 59 runs, all out.
Debbie Jordan top scored with 47 runs while Shaldean Baptiste took 3 wickets for 7 runs off 2 overs.
In the second match, Fancy Hard Knocks knocked Distillers Strikers out of the crease. Fancy Hard Knocks scored 110 for 3 and Distillers Strikers responded with 64 runs from 7.4 overs.
Tyson Thomas scored 54 runs from that competition and I. Michael copped the most wickets, taking 2 wickets for 4 runs off 2 overs.
Also, Hard Hitters defeating Rum Hitters. Hard hitters batted first and scored 88 runs for 7 wickets. In response, Rum Hitters scored 30 runs all out.
Jabid Baptiste top scored with 27 runs and Shanley Lavia took 3 wickets for 2 runs off 2 overs.
In matches played on Sunday at the Owia Playing Field:
Diamond Young Strikers batted first and scored 113 for 3, defeating Fancy Hard Knocks, who responded with 54 runs for 4 wickets.
Strough scored 76 with D. Fergus taking 3 wickets for 11 runs off 2 overs.
Additionally, Byera Linkers outdid Charla Young Strikers. Charla Young Strikers batted first and scored 40 runs from their 10 overs. Byera Linkers responded with 44 runs with 7 wickets in hand from 9.1 overs.
Rohan Lavia top scored with 20 runs while best bowling average was taken by Othneil Lewis, who captured 4 wickets and 3 runs from 2 overs.

Keep the youngsters occupied and they will be less inclined to commit crimes or be involved inself destructive behaviour.
