Homicide victim Jamarlo “Ice” Dunbar left Treehouse Bar at 4 a.m., about 40 minutes before he was shot, a representative of the bar told iWitness News on Monday.

The representative who identified herself only as “Tammy” objected to  iWitness News having reported that Dunbar “was shot in the street near Randy’s Supermarket and Bakery as he made his way home on foot from the nearby Tree House Bar around 4:40 a.m.”

Tammy told iWitness News via telephone on Monday that surveillance video from the establishment showed that Dunbar was there with another person who was dressed in white.

She said that Dunbar and all the other patrons left at 4 a.m. when the police — presumably those providing security at the venue — asked them to leave.

The woman claimed that Dunbar was “up the road by a vehicle” for over an hour before he was shot — although the shooting took place less than an hour after he left the venue.

Dunbar, who is originally from Rillan Hill, was living at Pole Yard at the time of his death.

He is the 16th homicide victim in St. Vincent and the Grenadines this year and the second Pole Yard resident to be shot and killed in less than a month.
