The Royal St. Vincent and the Grenadines Police Force (RSVGPF) on Wednesday advised the public not to donate any money to Phillip Hamblet, of Layou.
“Hamblet is going about Kingstown and other communities soliciting funds from people via sponsor sheets purportedly to pursue studies at ‘The Astronomy University’,” police said in a statement.
“This is bogus! Hamblet was detained and questioned by the police about this matter. He was advised to desist from doing such but he continues to.”
Police who are advising people who may have donated monies to Hamblet and feel aggrieved to contact the Criminal Investigations Department at 1-784-457-1211.
“Astronomy University,” fictitious or not, can’t be any worse than DEI-crazy Harvard University these day.
Why not placed him under arrest for fraud or misrepresntation of some sort ?
What a St Vincent school in fraud. Many buy into this philosophy. Easy money right if you are gullible enough to take the bait. My father bused to say when you hook a fish it’s a dead fish.
