Police in St. Vincent and the Grenadines have charged a Park Hill man with murder in connection with the death of two fellow villagers whose charred bodies were found in their community on Monday.
Investigators laid two murder charges against Aldon Thomas, 26, today (Wednesday).
Police have brought the charges just two days after the bodies of Marvin Barker and Calvert “Vert” Smart were found at the back of a house in which Barker lived near the Park Hill Playing Field.
The charges were brought after an intensive investigation including officers from the eastern division and the Major Crime Unit.
Sources said that police could bring more charges against other people in connection with the killing, which brought the homicide count this year to 12.
Thomas, who has made national headlines on several occasions, including in December 2019, when he alleged that police shot him maliciously, is expected to appear in court on Thursday.

It is bias reporting when you try to suggest guilt by associating the accused picture with the criminal justice system. You did not have to describe the photo that way.
Shame when they allegedly shot him he never dead wicked wicked man prison to go for him
Death penalty please
Thats it quick. Good work by the police. Let’s hope that charge atick..
NO INTENSIVE INVESTIGATION. zero evidence against this man but he is charged and placed on remand while the police investigate. He is charged because people in his community died . FOOLISHNESS
How does two grown men allow one man to be able to subdue them and burn them? This is not a one man job more people are involved. The barbarism here is unspeakable
Vynette if I was to accept what you say it means that this was not an issue of reasonable suspicion or any evidence linking the accused with the crime. If that’s the case it’s a a sad day where people can be arrested and charged with a crime without reasonable suspicion. If that’s the case , the it will be overturned and a good candidate for malicious prosecution. However, to get it overturned the accused may loose his freedom before btye case is tried.
The accused is clearly a bad man who has gotten in trouble with the police before. These known criminals must be kept on police radar as they are always likely to offend again. I hope if found guilty, the criminal justice system deals with him once and for all. Such person is a menace to society and ought not see the light of day again.
wen people can confess that dem don’t believe in God but will call His name fo get way dem want, isn’t the devil in control ?
Vynette are you implying that the police had no iota of evidence against your client or is it a preemptive move on your behalf? If there is no evidence linking the accused to the crime that would have been something else. Let the investigation runs its course and if exonerated. Then there is recourse , via malicious prosecution.
