St. Vincent and the Grenadines made another step on Tuesday toward regaining the ECCB International Netball Series championship title, defeating Anguilla 87–8.
The Vincentian female national team, Vincy Jewels, remained unbeaten on day two of the competition.
Vincy Jewels employed a clinical approach in dismantling their opponents, racing to a 28 – nil first-quarter lead.
The Vincentians maintain the lead throughout the remaining quarters 47–3, 66–4, and 87–8.
Mary-Ann Frederick led the way with 49 goals, netting from 50 attempts, with Kristiana Christopher scoring 8 from 9 attempts, Shellisa Davis 10 from 16, and Jamarah Coombs 20 from her 28 attempts.
For Anguilla, Zoey Roach scored 8 out of 18 attempts while Lakisha Hughes and Jade Laurent failed to convert any of their two attempts.
Vincy Jewels began their campaign with a huge win Sunday night defeating Dominica 71-32.
The Vincentian team led in all quarters 20–8, 38–17, 60–20, and 71-32, with Frederick upfront of the victory charge with 52 goals from 58 attempts.
Christopher netted 18 goals from 21 attempts, and Jamarah Coombs 1 from 1.
For Dominica, Anna-Maria Panthier scored 22 from 26 attempts and Gailene Gordon-Seraphine, a Vincentian former national player, netted 10 from 13 attempts for her adopted home.
