A man was taken to hospital with multiple gunshot injuries after being shot by unknown assailants in Kingstown around 1:20 p.m. on Tuesday.
The shooting occurred at Mahogany Square, a stone’s throw from several schools and the headquarters of the main opposition New Democratic Party and several schools.
The man has so far been identified by his alias, Boxer, and is said to be a resident of Diamond.
The man was transported to the hospital by an ambulance as police officers secured the scene and members of the public, including students in uniform, looked on.
