A Grenadian man has been fined for breaching the immigration laws of St. Vincent and the Grenadines (SVG).
Roger Johnson appeared before the Kingstown Magistrate’s Court where he pleaded guilty to charges that he entered the SVG unlawfully between Feb. 1 and 28 other than at a port of entry and that he entered by boat and disembarked without the consent of an immigration officer.
On the first charge, he was ordered to pay a fine of EC$280 forthwith or spend three months in prison.
On the illegal disembarkation charge, he was fined EC$220 to be paid by April 24, 2025, or spend three months in prison, concurrent to the default term on the other charge.
