Police have responded to the scene in the Fenton mountains where two bodies were discovered Monday afternoon in a vehicle, even as St. Vincent and the Grenadines celebrates its 46th anniversary of independence.
Initial reports reaching iWitness News are that the deceased appear to be an adult male and an adult female.
They appeared to have gunshot wounds, well-placed sources told iWitness News.
If confirmed as homicides, the deaths will bring to three the number of killings in this country in less than 24 hours.
Earlier on Monday, police said they had launched a homicide investigation into the death of Uriah Fields, a 42-year-old security guard and fisherman, of Diamond.
Fields was shot and killed near the “Racetrack” in the community Sunday night.
He was found dead after police officers responded to a report of gunshots in the area.
Officers who responded to a report met a male lying motionless with what appeared to be gunshot injuries.
