New York/Stubbs Masters and North East Masters chalked up their second consecutive victory in the Festival Division when Day 2 of the 2025 SVG International Masters T20 Cricket Festival was completed on Sunday.

New York/Stubbs Masters completed a 51-run victory over Clarke Road Veterans in the Festival Division at the Sion Hill Playing Field.

Buoyed by a 72-run second-wicket partnership, New York/Stubbs Masters totalled 177 for 7 in their 20 overs. Mark Audain stroked 54; Max Richardson made 41 and Nurlon Williams 25 to propel New York/Stubbs Masters batting effort.

Gregory Mahabir, 2 for 19, and Mahadeo Moonasar, 2 for 25, were the best bowlers on the day for Clarke Road Veterans, who were restricted to 126 for 9 in their reply.

Gregory Mahibir top scored with 53 while Ravi Samaroo added 25. Orlando Mofford was too much for the Clarke Road Veterans batters to handle as he returned the figures of 4 for 16 in 3 overs.

Also in the Festival Division on Sunday, North East Masters squeezed passed Cricket Canada Masters Council by 1 wicket with 2 balls to spare, when they met at the Park Hill Playing Field. Cricket Canada Masters Council managed 101 all out in 20 overs, of which Vinay Devisetty scored 34 and Kunal Cheda 24.

Lindon James bagged 4 for 15 while Rajiv Roberts picked up 3 for 23, both from 4 overs, to restrict the Cricket Canada Masters Council batters.

North East Masters did not fare much better and were at one point 94 for 9. They were dragged over the line by Deighton Butler, who was left unbeaten on 36 after Shane Shillingford had scored 42 at the top of the order.

Balihar Singh 2 for 8, Yatin Malik 2 for 15, Nitin Gosain 2 for 15 and Rajkrishnan Rajagopalan 2 for 16 combined forces with the ball for Cricket Canada Masters Council in a losing cause.

In another exciting finish in the Festival Division, RSVG Police Masters held off Sarasota International Cricket Club 40+ to win by 6 runs at the Stubbs Playing Field. RSVG Police Masters totalled 169 for 5 in their allotted 20 overs.

They were led by Hyron Shallow’s 58 while Gusnel Cupid contributed 24 not out. There were 2 wickets apiece for Daneel Myburgh — 2 for 25 — and Warren McGregor — 2 for 40 — bowling for Sarasota 40+ who fell short in their run chase; 163 for 3 in 20 overs.

Daneel Myburgh came back with the bat to stroke a 54-ball 88 not out while Michael Mulvihill hit 42, as they both shared a 121 first-wicket stand in a losing cause.

Parnel Browne picked up 2 for 39 bowling for RSVG Police Masters.

Fete Division; Group A

In Group A of the Fete Division, defending champions Windies Masters beat D & D Auto World by 6 wickets. D & D Auto World got up to 170 for 8 in 20 overs.

Sharif Mohammed top-scored with 44 and Deowarine Deyal added 32. Kenny Girdharry snared 3 for 20 while Neil Baptiste took 3 for 20 for Windies Masters, who reached 171 for 4 with an over to spare.

Chris Vernon stroked 54 not out, Neil Baptiste 41 and Pradeep Singh 36 to secure their second win. Krishna Rampat bagged 3 for 34, bowling for D & D Auto World.

Also, in Group A of the Fete Division, Monroe Road Masters began their campaign with a 5-wicket defeat of AMAAS Sporting Services Barbados Veterans at the Stubbs Playing Field. AMAAS limped up to 104 for 7 when their 20 overs ended. Winston Warren 30 and Victor Best 26 were their principal scorers.

Anil Barlo 4 for 20 and Glen Farley 2 for 19 were the chief destroyers with the ball for Monroe Road Masters, who reached their target; 107 for 5 in 16.5 overs.

Baliram Nayak was left unbeaten on 37 while Ghanshyam Ramnarine and Anil Barlo contributed 22 apiece. Rodney Husbands’ 3 for 14 from 4 overs were the best returns with the ball for AMAAS.

Canada Masters Cricket Club dominated Trinbago Leatherbacks by inflicting a 10-wicket defeat. Trinbago Leatherbacks made 133 for 9 from 20 overs, of which James Sirju and Micah Joseph scored 25 each.

Ediriweera Jayawardana 2 for 17 and Surinder Sharma 2 for 28 bowled well for Canada Masters Cricket Club, who replied with 134 without loss in just 7.4 overs.

Smashing his team to victory was Naveed Sehrai with his superb 27 ball 109 not out. His innings was punctuated with 13 sixes and 7 boundaries.

Fete Division Group B

In the Fete Division Group B match at Park Hill, AMAAS dominated VJ’s North Windward Masters, winning 153 runs.

AMAAS amassed 236 for 5 in 20 overs behind the tournament’s first century; a blistering 56-ball 109 by Andy Payne. Payne’s innings was decorated with 7 sixes and 9 boundaries.

Kelvin Patterson also joined in the batting party, hitting 73 from just 35 deliveries. Payne and Patterson shared a 122-run second-wicket partnership.

Micheal Jack 2 for 53 was the best bowler on show for VJ’s North Windward Masters, who could only muster 83 all out in 13.3 overs.

Ronnie Gittens 3 for 29, Wesley Straker 2 for 4 and Anthony Morris 2 for 15 completed the comprehensive victory for AMAAS.

In another Fete Division Group B encounter, Sarasota defeated Rungetters Sport Club by 22 runs at the Stubbs Playing Field. Sarasota got up to 137 for 6 in 30 overs.

Arun Lamba 22, Shiva Harry 21 and Kissoon Rampersad 20 were their principal scorers. There were 2 wickets apiece for Derry Ramjattan — 2 for 16 — and Luke Latiff — 2 for 19 — bowling for Rungetters Sport Club, who were hauled in their chase to finish on 115 for 7 when their 20 overs ran out.

Kissoon Rampersad was Sarasota’s chief destroyer, bagging 5 for 39 from 4 overs. Completing the complement of Fete Division Group B matches on Sunday, Woodland Masters ousted Prime Minister’s Xl with an 8-wicket triumph at the Cumberland Playing Field.

Prime Minister’s XI mustered 47 all out in 14.3 overs.

David Mohammed 3 for 1 after 3.5 overs, John Rajendra 3 for 14, Robert Mahabir 2 for 10 and Imtaz Rohan 2 for 16 orchestrated the Prime Minister’s Xl demise.

To secure the win, it then took Woodland Masters 6.3 overs to reach 47 for 2 of which John Rajendra scored 25.

Day 3

Day 3 in Cricket Festival on Tuesday will feature 10 matches.

In the Fete Division Group A, Windies Masters take on AMAAS at Stubbs from 10 a.m., D & D Auto World meet Canada Masters Cricket Club at Cumberland from 10 a.m. while Munro Road Masters and Trinbago Leatherbacks battle each other at Stubbs from 2 p.m.

In the Fete Division Group B, V. J.’s North Windward Masters square off against Prime Minister’s XI from 10 a.m. at Arnos Vale Two, while Woodland Masters take on AMAAS Sporting Services Barbados Masters at Park Hill from 2 p.m.

The Festival Division would have all four matches on day three. Cricket Canada Masters Council take on Mustique Company Masters at Park Hill from 10 a.m., Sarasota 40+ face off against Clarke Road Veterans at Sion Hill from 10 a.m., RSVG Police Masters square off with North Leeward Masters at Cumberland from 2 p.m., while New York/Stubbs Masters meet North East Masters at Sion Hill from 2 p.m.
