Thousands of Vincentians on Dec. 19, 2025, took advantage of their country’s first VAT-free shopping day since the tax was introduced in 2007.
Some of them saw their purchases slashed by hundreds of dollars, which they used to buy other items.
However, one woman felt that the EC$500 that she saved was not worth the rush.
