Police in St. Vincent and the Grenadines have charged a Lowmans Hill man in connection with the shooting death of a St. Lucian man in the West Kingstown community on June 23.
Delroy Harry, 21, has been charged with murder of Troy Cassely, a 34-year-old St. Lucian.
He was also charged with two counts of attempted murder in relation to injuries sustained by a 33-year-old man, of Campden Park, and a 22-year-old man, of Lower Questelles, during the same incident.
Police did not disclose the identities of the attempted murder victims.
The shootings occurred shortly after 5 p.m. on June 23.
Police responded to a report of shots being fired and, on arrival, discovered Cassely with multiple gunshot wounds.
A district medical officer pronounced him dead at the scene.
Harry is expected to appear before the Serious Offences Court.
The Royal St. Vincent and the Grenadines Police Force (RAVGPF) said Wednesday that it remains firm in its duty to pursue violent crime with discipline, evidence, and persistence.
“The RSVGPF commends the detectives attached to the Major Crime Unit and all supporting officers for the focused, diligent work carried out during this investigation,” a statement said.
