KINGSTOWN, St. Vincent — A resident of the North Leeward town of Chateaubelair is said to be assisting police with investigations into the death of another resident of the area.
Reports reaching I Witness News say that Ren Isaacs, 18, of Sharpes Village, Chateaubelair died when he was shot in the head sometime after 10 p.m. Monday.
According to reports, Isaacs died on the spot when he was shot after a dispute with another resident of the area.
Isaacs’ death brings to six the number of persons killed in this country over the past six weeks.
The spate of homicides have rejuvenated discussions about the role of the death penalty in curbing crime and here the legal circumstances curtailing its use.
