Kingstown, St. Vincent – A Paget Farm woman is said to be battling for her life at the Milton Cato Memorial Hospital after receiving a chop wound to the neck Monday morning, according to information reaching I-Witness News.

Well-placed sources say that the woman, identified as “Deverne”, approximately 24 years old and a mother of two children, both said to be less than five years old, was wounded during an altercation with a man on the Northern Grenadine island of Bequia.

According to reports, the woman was rushed to the nation’s main hospital because of the extent of her injuries.

The incident comes one day after dentist Ewarth “Ells” King, succumbed to a stab wound to the stomach inflicted by an intruder into his Pembroke home, on St. Vincent.
