KINGSTOWN, St. Vincent – It was a temptation that thousands of Vincentians are now undoubtedly regretting they didn’t resist.

Thousands of Vincentians, having paid as much as EC$50 to see Jamaican artiste Jah Cure, left the Victoria Park disappointed and irate early Sunday morning as the artiste failed to perform although he was in St. Vincent.

“Promoter failed to meet his contractual obligations so I could not perform. Sorry St. Vincent, I shall return ☹ I’m super disappointed,” the artiste wrote in a tweet around 5:40 a.m. Sunday.

Jah Cure, whose real name is, Siccature Alcock, was scheduled to perform alongside Orlando Octave at the concert dubbed “Irresistible Temptations”.

It was to be his first performance here since 2008 and radio advertisements in the lead up to the show noted that while thousands attended the 2008, thousand more missed the show. The advertisements encouraged fans of the “Unconditional Love” singer not to miss his performance here.

In an earlier tweet, Sunday morning, Jah Cure wrote:

“St. Vincent I’m sorry for every thing that happened tonight due to the lack of organization on the part of the promoters who have been giving nothing but excuses! I look forward to returning to deliver great music in a show by a legitimate promoter some time soon. Jah live!”

The show was organised by Matrix Music Group in collaboration with Carib Beer and Hot FM. It also received sponsorship from The Vincentian newspaper, Rent & Drive, LIME, and Areopost.
